10 Digit Dialing Now in Alberta

10 Digit Dialing is Coming to Alberta. As of Sept 2008 everone in Alberta will need to dial the full 10 digits of a phone number to reach someone. This is because a new area code, 587, is being introduced to all of Alberta. That means someone in Lethbridge could have a 587 area code as well as someone in Fort McMurray. So remember to start reprograming you're security system, fax machines, and speed dials.

Do you know when the best time for having renovations done is? In vacations the best deals are had during off peak. November and December are off peak for renovations as people wait till after Christmas. So right now is the best time.
So if you want renovations done more quickly Now is the time to do it. We've dealt with one renovator I would suggest you visit, if you are looking for great renovations. .Jameswood Contracting. Their endeavors have been diverse, ranging from smaller renovations and historical restorations to additions and new houses in established neighborhoods.
We've photographed some of these and they are spectacular as you can see from the one photo included. It's not just me...It was selected as one of 3 single family homes competing for one category of the Alberta Awards of Excellence in Housing, a competition sponsored by the Alberta Home Builders Association.
They also have a custom cabinet shop, Jameswood Studios, where all projects are exclusive. We can produce exactly what you want as long as you can describe it to them. This includes kitchens, built in cabinets, furniture, columns, doors, windows, that little piece of trim so hard to find, and even church pews. I've seen some amazing things come out of there.

City of Calgary Raises Housing Costs
|
|
City of Calgary voted to tax all new home building. This tax will range between $2000 and $2500 per home. The only person who did not vote for the taxation is Ald. Rick McIvor. The idea is this money is to be used to fund the costs of infastructure for these new areas.
